MINUTES <br />FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br />March 27, 2012 <br />4:30 p.m., Selectmen's Office <br />Present: Norman Cohen, George Burnell, Father Colletti, Alan Wrigley, Edmund Grant and <br />Emily Lavine, Assistant Director for Family Services, Human Services Department. <br />Money Available as of 1/31/12 Income $69,708 <br />Principal $104,279 <br />The November appeal letter brought in over $36,000. In addition, the fund received a gift of <br />$20,000 from an estate. <br />2. Human Services: <br />Human Services Report: December 14, 2011 to March 27, 2012. <br />Emily Lavine gave the Human Services report. The Human Services Emergency <br />Checking Account was used to pay a utility bill and assist with a mortgage payment. <br />Because of the mild winter, requests for fuel assistance were down. The Human <br />Services Department works with clients to help them come up with sustainable <br />financial plans. <br />Other Issues: <br />a. The request for $1,596.00 from the East Village Community Association for <br />holiday decorations was approved by a vote of 5 -0. <br />b. A thank you note from a recipient was acknowledged. <br />4. Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be on June 19, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. <br />5. Approval of the December 13, 2012 minutes - Approved 5 -0. <br />
