BOA Meeting October 25, 2012 3 <br /> <br />Minutes of the Lexington Zoning Board of Appeals <br />Selectmen’s Meeting Room <br />October 25, 2012 <br /> <br />Board Members Present: Chairman – Carolyn C. Wilson, Jeanne K. Krieger, Leo P. <br />McSweeney, David G. Williams and Martha C. Wood <br /> <br />Staff Present: Dianne Cornaro, Administrative Clerk and David George, Zoning <br />Administrator <br /> <br />Petition Address: 150 East Street, Map 62, Lot 23A <br /> <br />Petitioner submitted the following information with the application: nature and <br />justification of request, topographic plan, plot plan, photographs and a letter of support <br />from Guy and Elaine Doran of 168 East Street. <br /> <br />Prior to the hearing, the petition and supporting data were reviewed by the Building <br />Commissioner, Conservation Administrator, Town Engineer, Board of Selectmen, the <br />Zoning Administrator, the Planning Director and the Historic Districts Commission <br />Clerk. Comments were received from the Planning Director and the Zoning <br />Administrator. <br /> <br />The Chairman opened the hearing at 7:35 pm by reading the legal notice and <br />described information received from the petitioner. <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting 2 VARIANCES in accordance with the Zoning By-Law <br />(Chapter 135 of the Code of Lexington) section 135-36B and 135-35A, Table 2, <br />Schedule of Dimensional Controls to allow a lot width of 100 ft. instead of the required <br />120 ft. minimum lot width and to allow a frontage of 103 ft. instead of the required 150 <br />ft. <br /> <br />Craig Weeks, owner of the property, presented the petition to the Board by explaining <br />the history of the lot. <br /> <br />A Board member asked for clarification of how the lot would be changed. <br /> <br />Tom Tracey of 5 Holmes Road wanted to know how a building permit was issued <br />when there was this outstanding issue on the lot. The Zoning Administrator responded <br />that the building permit was separate from this issue that us before the Board. <br /> <br />Tom Tracey of 5 Holmes Road spoke in opposition to the petition. <br /> <br />Chris Groves of 144 East Street spoke in support of the petition. <br /> <br />The hearing was closed at 7:38 pm. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
