<br />Lexington Council for the Arts (LCA) <br />Minutes for Meeting January 12, 2009 <br />Cary Memorial Library <br /> <br /> <br />Present: Barbara Ciampa, Co-Chair; Louise Cady-Fernandes; Janet Post, Secretary; Jan Goplerud; <br />Zoe Perry Wood, Co Chair; Jonathan Cue; Mary Trometer,Treasurer;; Jackie Hawkinson; Sirarpi <br />Heghinian Walzser; Victoria Campos <br /> <br />Absent: Bill Janowitz <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> Zoe Perry Wood called the meeting to order at 7:16PM <br /> <br />Secretary's Report <br /> The minutes for the December ‘09 meeting were accepted. <br /> <br />Treasurer's Report <br /> <br /> The treasurer’s report was accepted. There is a balance of $ 7786.43 <br /> <br />Grant Business: <br /> <br />The grant letters are about to be mailed to all grant applicants. <br /> <br /> <br />New Business: <br /> <br />??Barbara recently attended the MCC meeting in Concord about the LAC budgets etc.. <br />They expect MCC to carry on, but also expect approx. a 8-10% budget cut. <br />??Zoe is taking steps to get two poster made for the Lexington Council for the Arts. They <br />needed a correction first. Zoe will have Mary submit a request to the town to write us a <br />check for it but she’ll pay with her credit card first. They are $56 each plus shipping <br />??Our website committee needs to have a meeting about the next steps to cover the basics <br />with our website through the town’s site. We need to develop some content to move <br />forward with. Sirarpi will cancel the domain name Lexington Art Councils that we have <br />had reserved. <br />??The Town Hall art update is that Candy will keep us in the decision making loop. Any <br />decisions are on hold until the DPW moves from Town Hall into their new building on <br />Bedford Street once DPW building construction is completed. We will discuss this as a <br />committee next summer. <br />??Discussion about the future of the Paton’s Fund. Sirarpi suggested getting a FaceBook <br />group together of Lexington artists so that we can have a network of artists to contact <br />when making future plans for the Paton’s Fund. <br />th <br />??There will be a grant guideline meeting at Jan’s house on January 26 at 7:30 PM at 97 <br />Adams Street for anyone who would like to go. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Business for Next Meeting <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
