Minutes of the Lexington Zoning Board of Appeals <br /> Selectmen's Meeting Room, Lexington Town Hall <br /> September 25, 2008 <br /> Board Members Present: Chairman — Arthur C. Smith, Nyles N. Gilbert <br /> Staff present: Dianne Cornaro, Administrative Clerk and David George, Zoning Administrator <br /> Petition Address: Morgan Road, Map 50, Lot 20 <br /> The Chairman opened the hearing at 7:30 PM by reading the legal notices and described <br /> information received from the petitioner relative to the petitions. <br /> The relief sought is for a Special Permit to install, operate and maintain a wireless <br /> communications facilitate. <br /> Prior to the hearing, the petition and supporting data were reviewed by the Building <br /> Commissioner, Conservation Administrator, Town Engineer, Health Director, Board of <br /> Selectmen, Zoning Administrator, the Planning Board, the Communication Advisory Committee <br /> and the Design Advisory Committee. Comments were received from the Communication <br /> Advisory Committee, the Design Advisory Committee and the Zoning Administrator. <br /> Attorney Adam Braillard, presented the petition for Metro PCS Massachusetts LLC. Also present <br /> at the hearing to answer questions were the Metro PCS Acquisition Manager, David <br /> Archambault and Brian Eicens from the Radio Frequency Department. <br /> Currently located at the site is a water tower. Five (5) other wireless facilities are currently <br /> located on the tower. The petitioner seeks to install six (6) panel antennas, two (2) base <br /> transceiver systems (BTS) located on a 10 -ft. by 16 -ft. equipment shed, up to two (2) battery <br /> back -up cabinets, a GPS antenna, and related cabling. The panel antennas would be installed in <br /> three (3) sectors of two (2) antennas each on the side of the water tower at 105 -ft. above grade <br /> level. Two sectors would be located on the larger tower. The other sector would be located on <br /> the smaller tower. The BTS cabinets and battery back -up cabinets would be located at the base <br /> of the tower in a fenced in area. The GPS antenna would be located at the top of the water <br /> tower. The cabling would run inside the cable tray on the side of the water tower to the antennas <br /> The Board asked the petitioner to explain the cabinetry for the equipment and asked about noise <br /> specfications. The Chairman of the Board commented that the Board would be issuing the <br /> Special Permit for 15 years instead of the 25 requested. <br /> At the hearing Attorney Braillard presented the Board with a noise specification report. <br /> There were no questions from the audience. <br /> No one spoke in favor of the petition. <br />
