BOA Meeting August 9, 2012 3 <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of the Lexington Zoning Board of Appeals <br />Selectmen’s Meeting Room, Lexington Town Hall <br />August 9, 2012 <br /> <br /> <br />Board Members Present: Chairman – Carolyn C. Wilson, John J. McWeeney, David G. <br />Williams, Martha C. Wood and Associate Member Edward D. McCarthy <br /> <br />Staff Present: Dianne Cornaro, Administrative Clerk and David George, Zoning <br />Administrator <br /> <br />Address: 33 Marrett Road, Map 31, Lot 63B and 64 <br /> <br />Petitioner submitted the following information with the application: nature and <br />justification of request, topographic plan, plot plan, floor plans, site lighting plan, <br />landscaping plan and a copy of a special permit dated October 5, 1971. <br /> <br />Prior to the hearing, the petition and supporting data were reviewed by the Building <br />Commissioner, Conservation Administrator, Town Engineer, Board of Selectmen, the <br />Zoning Administrator, the Planning Director and the Historic Districts Commission <br />Clerk. Comments were received from the Enginering, the Conservation Administrator, <br />the Historic Districts Clerk and the Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />The Chairman opened the hearing at 7:38 pm by reading the legal notice and <br />described information received from the petitioner. <br /> <br /> <br />The applicant is requestinga SPECIAL PERMIT AND MODIFICATION OF A <br />SPECIAL PERMIT in accordance with the Zoning By-Law (Chapter 135 of the Code of <br />Lexington) section 135-69 to amend parking requirements and to amend a special <br />permit previously granted to accommodate new parking spaces. <br /> <br />Gerard Frank of BFE Architects presented the application for the Supreme Council of <br />Ancient Scottish Rite Free Masonry. Also present at the hearing was John <br />McNaughton and Steve Polliti of the Supreme Council and Civil Engineer Robert <br />Carter of HW Moore. <br /> <br />Mr. Frank presented to the Board the existing condition and the proposed changes to <br />the parking lot. <br /> <br />The Board questioned the lighting and the landscape plan which Robert Carter <br />explained in detail. <br /> <br />The Board also asked how late the lights would be on, (7:30 pm) how tall the poles <br />were (12 ft.), how many poles would there be (8) and when the trees would be moved <br />(In the fall). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
