Minutes: The April minutes were accepted as distributed. 2. Bike Parking on Mass Ave and data collection: Was approved by the Selectmen for weekends this summer beginning May 19. Dave Kucharsky from the Planning Department would like baseline traffic data before the bike corral is installed, so volunteers will do counts on Saturday, May 12, between 8 am and 6 pm. An hour or two may be covered on Sunday. 3. DCR Grant for Minuteman Bikeway User Information (update): The Toole Company has been hired; John Livsey will make the initial contact, since the Town of Lexington is taking the lead in this 3 -town project. (The total budget for the map and Bikeway design was $48K; $37.5 was awarded with the balance coming from "in kind" labor or fund - raising.) With the hiring of the Toole Company designers, the "User Information for the Minuteman Bikeway" project can finally launch. Volunteers will document the current conditions on and near the Bikeway (using spreadsheet supplied by the project managers, taking photos, etc). 4. Plans for Bikeway Drainage and Root Control (update): A culvert collapsed between Bedford Street and Hartwell Avenue, so Bikeway has been closed on that stretch for repairs. No word on when root control work will begin. 5. ACROSS Lexington signage on the Bikeway: The Greenways Corridor Committee has proposed to put up a number of small markers along the Bikeway identifying the route of the first of the ACROSS Lexington trails. They hope to mark the trail by September. 6. Complete Streets Workshop: Richard Canale and Peggy attended to 3 -hour workshop in Watertown. These workshops outline the current thinking of Comment [GG1]: Peggy, I forgot to write down who was at the meeting, so could you check this section for me? Thanks.
