,S US Mop <br />pQ` 1 775 ` �(3 <br />APRIL 11- <br />k /NG'V <br />APPROVED MEETING MINUTES <br />Committee Name: Lexington Bicycle Advisory Committee <br />Date, Time and Location of Meeting: June 14, 2012, 7 pm, Town Office Building <br />Members Present: Stew Kennedy (Acting Chair), John Frey, Marita Hartshorn, <br />Jerry Van Hook, George Gagliardi, Laurel Carpenter, Richard Canale, (Planning <br />Board Liaison) <br />Others Present: Bob Dangel, Patria Lanfranchi <br />Members Absent: Peggy Enders (Chair), Mike Tabaczynski, Bob Hausslein <br />Minutes: The May 2012 minutes were accepted as corrected. <br />The committee reviewed the draft LBAC input to the Selectmen's Annual Goal <br />Setting and revised it to target our its top recommendations. Richard shared the <br />goals of the Planning Board and Jerry shared those from the Sidewalk Committee. <br />Peggy, Stew, Richard and Jerry attended the Transportation Summit on June 6. <br />The staff from engineering, planning, transportation, and economic development <br />made excellent presentations. These summits will be held 3 times per year. The <br />new LexPress buses will have bike racks and will be unveiled at noon on June 3 at <br />Cary Hall. <br />Patria from the Ride Cafe gave a glowing endorsement of the pilot bike parking <br />space on Mass. Ave. Congratulations to Melisa Tintocalis for helping to expand <br />bike parking opportunities on the south side of Mass. Ave. From all reports it <br />seems to be a great success and will benefit all downtown merchants. <br />If members of our committee have not already done so, they are encouraged to <br />take the MAPC transportation survey. Stew will forward the web address. <br />Russ Brami, from Snowy Owl Maps in Lexington, will begin to work on the <br />development of the new Minuteman Bikeway map, collaborating with Judy <br />Seppala in the town MIS department to improve its design and appearance of the <br />map and brochure. <br />Jeanne Krieger invited us to be a sponsor for Lexington's Readiness to Adapt to <br />Climate Change Forum, an initiative being undertaken by the League of Women <br />
